BioMEMS Solutions has introduced, developed, launched, and supplied a range of products, including devices, consumable cartridges, and assays, along with their related software and cloud-based applications to clients and customers.
Typical applications of our developed products and service offerings include diagnostics, medical devices (class II/III and implants), biotechnology (genomics and proteomics), life sciences, and pharmacology (drug discovery and delivery).
A considerable number of these products have obtained regulatory approvals from agencies such as the FDA, ISO, and EMA, among others. In 2022, we initiated the development and launch of its proprietary product line, which consists of over 15 distinct types of products.
BioMEMS Solutions was established in 2007, with its initial core team formed at UNC-Chapel Hill, a leading academic program. This team collaborated with pioneers in microfluidics. The company specializes in the development, launch, and manufacturing of advanced microfluidic and nanofluidic (BioMEMS/NEMS) systems and consumables for various applications, including in-vitro diagnostics, point-of-care, clinical, biomedical, pharmaceutical, laboratory, life science, and analytical fields. In 2007, there was a consensus that the industry should adopt MEMS technology to remain competitive in the 21st century and accelerate the early diagnosis and treatment of diseases. However, it can be challenging for small companies to afford a team of highly skilled Ph.D. professionals to facilitate this transition in their ongoing and future product development efforts. Additionally, some executives may be hesitant to embrace this transition, concerned about the potential risks to their current product roadmap and R&D strategy.
Our firm was established to meet these needs at a reasonable cost. We offer guidance and support to your business until we fulfill our commitments to develop and launch your products, utilizing advanced microfluidic-based technologies. To ensure the highest quality of service, we have implemented a specialized peer-review qualification process for identifying, screening, hiring, and continually managing the best resources available, including technical subject matter experts, regulatory advisors, and contract development and manufacturing organizations, from both academia and industry.
At present, alongside our core employees, we have a team of more than 250 registered subject matter experts (SMEs) and over 30 contract development and manufacturing organizations (CDMOs), as well as access to cleanroom facilities through our registered members. As we expand our team, our main emphasis is on providing high-quality products and services. While our primary focus has been the United States and Canada, since 2012, we have broadened our services to include various countries in Europe, Australia, and Asia.
